The Council of Partners

The Council of Partners is the Dean’s advisory body comprised of the representatives of the Faculty’s significant partner institutions. These are mainly state, Pilsen region, and local administration institutions, non-profit organisations, language and educational organisations, museums, archives, libraries, important regional and local parties, and private sphere representatives. The co-operation of the Faculty and such institutions is one of the tools of improving our graduates’ chances of finding employment, and continuous improvement of the study programmes quality.

The co-operation is based on regular meetings of the Faculty management with the partners in order to exchange information between the academic environment and the actual application. The partners offer the Faculty the following:

-         feedback on the quality of the running study programmes in relation to the practical requirements

-         critical feedback on the profile of study programme graduates

-         ideas on a revision of the running study programmes

-         feedback on the important strategic materials of the Faculty and their application

-         suggestions on the Faculty’s strategic planning

-         ideas on the approach to applied research and popularisation activities

-         feedback on the outputs of science-research activity, mainly in the area of applied research

The co-operation includes also practical training and internships for the Faculty’s students offered by selected partners. Training completed already during studies helps the students get a better view of the labour market and deepen their knowledge and experience gained at university. In return, the partners win the opportunity to employ the Faculty’s students as trainees and interns in their organisations and thus approach potential job candidates in advance. This form of co-operation presents an important tool stopping qualified workers from leaving the region. Another important aspect of such co-operation is that the partner institutions participate in forming study programmes focused on specific professions.
